WHEN WE COMPETE TO IMPROVE LIVES, WE ALL WIN #WeAllWin


National competitions are a showcase of how Enactus' students are transforming lives and enabling progress through entrepreneurial action. From April to July of this year, Enactus teams will compete across 35 countries where the quality and impact of their projects will be evaluated by business leaders serving as judges. These dynamic and inspiring events encourage creativity and reward results, ultimately leading to stronger programs and more lives improved. From each national competition one team will be selected to represent their country at Enactus World Cup 2016 in Toronto, Canada.

SAP, silver partner Enactus France was present at the National Competition 2016. More than 250 students from all over France gathered on 7th and 8th June at the Belfry Montrouge to defend their social entrepreneurship projects face 120 leaders of business. In the key: a place in the world competition, but especially two days of meetings and exchanges to enable students to value their achievements, celebrate their engagement and develop their network.


Orlando APPELL, SAP France, and 30 other leading members of the jury have selected NEOMA Business School - Campus Rouen, National Champion. The defended project "Eco-cooker" aims commercialization in Mali, Burkina Faso and Senegal, a cooker manufactured locally which reduces the use of wood, the producing of toxic fumes and the cooking time . To date, more than 5,800 cookers were produced and sold and 280 women trained. These embodiments can improve the quality of life more than 24 000 people.

NEOMA Business School will represent the colors of France in the Enactus World Cup will bring together the 28 to 30 September 2016 in Toronto, more than 3,500 students, teachers and leaders of the five continents.

The other 23 teams competing have not fallen and were able to leave with contacts and advice to further improve their projects see start businesses.


Classification of the National Competition 2016 :

2nd: The IESEG School of Management for « Cassez la graine », , a project to support agriculture directly in local producers selling their fruit and vegetables to Lille's students  thanks to a basket system.

3rd: Ecole de Biologie Industrielle for their two projects: "Securit'hear" that allows people with hearing disabilities to bike safely developing a removable kit that warns of potential dangers. The second project "Hopi First" recycles cooking oil to produce and market a liquid hand soap.

4th: ESDES for "Out of the box" a project that aims to attract the interest of students to the culture through the sale of a bimonthly box of tips to preferred rates in many cultural signs of Lyon. The team also introduced "Souris clic" which aims to create social and intergenerational link in providing IT group workshops taught by students to seniors club 3rd age.

The 2016 edition of National Competition Enactus France comes as close an accompanying 10-month program during which 1,300 students from all over France have conducted 155 social entrepreneurship projects directly affecting more than 13 000 people.
