    The global research groups of SAP and the University Competence Centers offer opportunities to SAP University Alliances members for collaboration. These groups connect to academics where they can share their thought leadership expertise with each other, which helps to identify and shape emerging business and IT trends.

    UA Research Spotlight: Christian Schulz

    The goal of the UA Research Spotlight series, along with the UA Spotlight Series, is to exchange insights with UA professors, students, researchers and others linked to Universities from around the world.

    UA Research is designed to foster a dialogue between faculty teaching SAP and cutting-edge researchers.


    Additionally, this space will act as a central hub where researchers and faculty around the world can connect, share, discuss and collaboratively advance research on very large business applications such as SAP's business suite.

    Group of the Chief Scientist

    Information and communications technology (ICT) needs innovations to sustain its future revenue stream and attract talent.


    One task of SAP's Group of the Chief Scientist is to determine emerging IT and business trends, conduct vital research, and connect the emerging organizations within SAP to leading technologies from top American universities.

    SAP Research and SAP Research and Innovation

    SAP Research is the global technology research unit of SAP. This group significantly contributes to SAP's product portfolio by identifying and shaping emerging IT trends and generating breakthrough technologies through applied research.

     

    SAP Research has employment opportunities at all levels and Ph.D. dissertation opportunities across all regions.

    Academic Research Center (ARC) Inventing the Future of Business Intelligence

    ARC creates research partnerships with academia to expand the universe of business intelligence (BI) research, knowledge, and innovation.

     

    They currently have four sites worldwide:

    SAP Global Co-Innovation Lab

    SAP's Global Co-Innovation Lab (COIL) Network consists of teams and lab facilities aimed at driving and facilitating innovative projects between SAP and its partners, both globally and regionally.

     

    COIL allows SAP and its partners to engage in a well-defined process from concept incubation via mutual co-investment agreement to ultimately showcasing joint achievements which support customer requirements.
