When I was going through some of the examples to integrate the Abap Webdynpro with Adobe Flex using the Flash Island in SAP Netweaver7.01, I was bit wondered and just can't stop myself from try integrating theXcelsius components with same Abap Webdynpro  as they both Adobe Flex and Xcelsius have the capability to generate the File with same Extensions(.SWF*).

This blog explains about integrating the Abap Webdynpro with Xcelsius. I have installed the Xcelsius 2008 SP3 in my machine. After which, I was able to see plenty of samples under File Menu->Samples,  which will help any new developer to learn Fast. Thanks to SAP..:-)

I have chosen the Accordion Menu example, which also has the excel information.

 Excel information  asshown,

With the above example, I was able to use the Static Excel information from the same example to generate the Accordion Menu using the Xcelsius component. By clicking Preview, the generated Flash file can be viewed . You can download the file as SWF as you can see this option under file->Export->Flash(SWF).

Using the generated Flash file from the Xcelsius, I just stored it in the MIME Object, displayed in the Abap Webdynpro run time using the Flash Island UI element. There is no need to fill the datasource, event, properties as this is just a static MIME object.

Once, you execute this Webdynpro application, you can seethe MIME object generated from the Xcelsius tool in the browser.

As I said earlier, the above blog will only explain about integration using the Static Excel information. Will try to post my next blog  to pass dynamic parameters from Webdynpro to Xcelsius component.
