Become a Member of SCN

Introduction

To get the most benefit from SAP Community Network (SCN), register as a member. That way, you open up new possibilities to learn, engage, network with peers and advance your career. As a member, you can also create content and participate in blogs and discussion forums. You can follow people or content, as well as rate and "like" content. Your membership in SCN gives you open access to the entire SCN landscape of targeted community spaces, where you can join any conversation, connect with experts, and learn from peers.

 

Registration

It’s easy to create a new account in SCN. When you enter SCN, you will see Welcome Guest in the masthead at the top of the page. Click Login to start the process.

Complete your registration by filling in the required fields. Make sure to use a strong password that includes numerals and punctuation marks.

Choose an SCN User Name, then confirm your email address.

Finally, read and agree to the SCN Terms of Use.

Create Your SCN Profile

SCN is a full-featured, highly integrated social networking platform. Your profile plays a key role in this network, as SCN thrives at the person-to-person level. You can set different privacy levels for different parts of your profile information.

Manage Email Notifications

You can customize your email preferences to suit your needs. When you join a group, add or create content on SCN, you have the option to Receive Email Notifications in your inbox. If the email traffic becomes too heavy, you can change your settings at any time. The quickest way to do this is via your profile. Start by clicking on your name in the top right-hand corner. Then click Edit preferences.

You will see all the email notification options under the General Preferences tab. You can also customize your email notifications for "followed" activity. Whether you want notifications for all activity, weekly summaries, daily summaries, or no emails at all, this is where you can customize your notifications.
