An SAP Global Co-Innovation Lab Network Initiative
In order to transform to a real-time enterprise, companies need to unwire business information and make it available on all devices, to all types of users, any time.
SAP and Sybase address this need with Sybase Unwired Platform (SUP), the market-leading mobile platform.
The SAP Co-Innovation Lab, the Sybase Mobility Unit and SAP Global Ecosystem & Channels have launched a partner program called Partner-delivered Mobile Applications (Padma) to support the ecosystem of partners to develop mobile solutions for today's business. In this program, SAP and Sybase experts
facilitate, enable and coach selected partners to build high-impact mobile solutions with the latest SUP release.
Padma has four integrated phases:
| Phase | Elements |
|---|---|
| Prepare |
|
Build |
|
| Showcase |
|
| Deliver value |
|
Padma started in February 2011 with the first wave of applications. Wave 2 started in June of the same year.
Wave 1 focused on heavyweight applications with offline capabilities and was successfully completed and showcased with 5 selected partners at SAPPHIRE Orlando.
Wave 2 was kicked off in June and had its emphasis on lightweight online solutions. Partners built native apps leveraging SAP NetWeaver Gateway as well as device-agnostic applications using the Sybase SUP Hybrid Web Container. The solutions were ready and presented at SAP TechEd and SAPPHIRE in November 2011.
