SAP works with software solution providers who develop applications that can integrate with SAP solutions and have passed SAP's integration certification process. Certification provides technical validation for the integration of third-party applications that extend and add value to SAP solutions across a variety of industries and business processes.
Once the integration has been successfully tested by the SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC), SAP provides "SAP Certified" logos to make it more transparent how a third-party solution connects with SAP products.
The "SAP Certified" designation is not liberally awarded. Certified solution providers must put their solution integration through stringent qualification procedures to earn this designation. The SAP Integration and Certification Center tests that integration is based on SAP-endorsed integration technologies before awarding one of the following status.
Technology or infrastructure products that have SAP-certified integration with the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform have proven to interoperate with SAP NetWeaver.
An application or content that is powered by the SAP NetWeaver® is certified by SAP to run on SAP NetWeaver technology platform and may also have been developed using SAP NetWeaver.
SAP Business Suite and other Applications:-
An application that has SAP-certified integration with one or more SAP applications has proven to interoperate with those SAP applications using integration technologies such as enterprise services, a BAPI programming interface, remote function call (RFC), or intermediate document (IDoc) technology.

SAP mobile apps partners build packaged mobile apps that need to be certified by an SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) and can be sold on the SAP Store. These applications are built on SAP Mobile Platform, the SAP Afaria mobile device management solution, or SAP NetWeaver Gateway technology.
A packaged application is a standard application designed to appeal to a market segment with the intent to be sold as-is. It is presented in a fully functional, downloadable form to be licensed by customers, typically for a combination of license and maintenance fee or a subscription fee. During implementation for a specific customer, it may be configured and tailored to meet customer preferences, but it is not built specifically to the needs and environment of an individual customer as a custom-developed application is.
An application that has SAP-certified integration with one or more applications on SAP HANA has proven to interoperate with those SAP applications on SAP HANA using standard integration technologies.
Partner offerings that have certified integration with SAP HANA are content, technology, or infrastructure products that are proven to interoperate with the SAP HANA platform.
A partner application that is built on the SAP HANA platform may be referred to as “SAP certified as powered by SAP HANA” when accurate.
This certifies SAP partner hardware as capable of running SAP HANA.
