WelcomeThank you for your interest in evaluating SAP HANA. We prepared a test and trial environment for you to make your 30-day trial a smooth experience. You will not have to install anything on your local desktop; access to HANA is provided through remote desktops hosted by our partner CloudShare. The information posted here will help you through the sign-up process and will get you connected to your trial environment. If you need assistance, (1) check out our FAQ, (2) seek help on the discussion forum and should all other options fail, (3) send us an email at inmemorydevcenter@sap.com. Enjoy your trial period! If you're in a rush and think you can handle it, sign up right now  . - As the first step of your sign-up process, you will have to accept our trial end user license agreement (EULA). Read the license agreement carefully and click the "I Have Read And Agree" button.
- On the next page, please verify your SCN profile data. In particular, make sure your email is up to date, as we will be sending your access information to this email address.
- What is an "Access Code"? Simple answer: If you received one, you know it and please paste it into the Access Code field. If you don't have one, you don't need one. The SAP HANA 30 day trial is available for all registered SCN members, except SAP employees.
- After clicking the "Submit" button, you should see a confirmation page. We will contact you within 48 hours with your access information. In the meantime, check out our learning material on the .
- Hint: Should you get routed to the SCN Homepage at any time in the sign-up process, you have been logged out of SCN. Simply click the "Login" link on top of the page and you will continue with the next step.
Your first connection to the trial environment- Your invitation email will contain a link to an invitation to your personal environment on CloudShare. If you are not a CloudShare user yet, please register - it's free of charge for you. Ideally, use the email address you provided in your SCN profile as your CloudShare user ID. That will make it easier for us to help you out in case of any issues.
- After completing your CloudShare registration, your remote desktop will automatically start. It can take a few minutes, just like booting up your laptop. Grab a coffee and get the adrenalin levels up, because you're nearly there.
- Once your environment is ready, you will see a big "Start Using This Environment" button. Click the button, and you will have various options to connect into your remote desktop - directly from the browser or via a Windows Remote Desktop connection.
- On your desktop, you will find HANA Studio - your first task will be to connect from HANA Studio to the server, using the information included in your invitation email. Help is provided in a Cheat Sheet directly in HANA Studio.
- Should you have any connectivity issues, your personal or company firewall may be blocking RDP port 3389. Run the connectivity test on CloudShare to see if everything works as expected. Should you be unable to connect although your networks looks properly configured, please contact CloudShare support.
