Real-Time Data in SAP Business Planning and Consolidation on SAP HANA:
Hands On Session TechEd 2012

Architect a real-time data flow from SAP ERP into SAP Business Planning and Consolidation on SAP HANA, based on a hybrid-providers architecture in SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse on SAP HANA. Explore the new EPM add-in capabilities including write back and advanced report building and the usage of formulas and local members to enrich the reporting experience and build critical reports such as price-volume-mix analysis. We will address common questions such as EVDRE reporting vs. the new application 10 drag and drop reporting paradigm. We will use an easy to consume business process flow that guides the business user through the planning process while linking to planning instructions and schedules and data manager packages to enrich data and analysis processes. Thanks to new functionality available in the latest SAP Business Planning and Consolidation release, we can use a MultiProvider to combine the real-time actuals in data in SAP NetWeaver BW and the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation data together for immediate variance reporting.

Since then there has been a powerful drive to significantly accelerate planning use-cases with this technology too. Now, with the Planning Applications Kit, in-memory technology supports planning use cases too.
