If Potential is assessed in the Performance appraisal document then often the Potential scale values will not be displayed in drop-down lists, such as TREX or in the searches in SAP Talent Visualization by Nakisa (STVN), even if the Potential ratings are being written correctly to HRP7408.  This is because function module HRTMC_GET_TALENT_F4_HELPS identifies the Potential scale by looking for the scale within the Potential Assessment template defined in table view V_T77TMC_P_V.  When no document is found, no scale is identified.

To resolve this issue several steps are required in the IMG:

  1. Define the scale in customizing activity in Talent Management and Talent Development > Talent Assessment > Define Scales for the Talent Assessment
  2. Create a Potential Assessment template (minimum settings are ok) with the Potential scale used in the Performance appraisal document in customizing activity Talent Management and Talent Development > Talent Assessment > Define Forms for Talent Assessment
  3. Define the Potential Assessment template in customizing activity Talent Management and Talent Development > Talent Assessment > Define Process Periods and Groupings

Remember to assign the template and customizations to a transport if not done automatically in Talent Management and Talent Development > Talent Assessment in customizing activities Transport Forms, Transport Process Form Assignments and Define Process Periods and Groupings.
