Remote access to Netweaver Administrator is forbidden

Issue :

These days after SAP NW 7.1 Java stack installation, one of the very common error is SAP Netweaver Admistrator page don't open and it gives error with rules.

Solution :

As suggested above, solution is in SAP Note 1451753 Filtering administration requests for AS Java.

With NW 7.1, SAP has come up with an option that allows to prevent access to administration URLs of the Netweaver Administrator in the Internet communication manager (ICM).

The URLs for NWA have a unique prefix and can be filtered out in the ICM on a rule basis.

Profile parameter that controls this, is : icm/HTTP/mod_0 = PREFIX=/,FILE=$(DIR_GLOBAL)/security/data/icm_filter_rules.txt

Normally above parameter is not there and needs to be created in DEFAULT.PFL.

If the file does not exists at above location then you can create an empty file - means no rules set and all the URL will open.

SAP note contains various options to create rules and the required format for the same.
