SAP HANA Cloud Platform: Installing SAP HANA Studio

SAP HANA Academy’s Jamie Wiseman details how to install SAP HANA Studio on the SAP HANA Cloud Platform. Jamie is using a free developer license for SAP HANA Cloud Platform. Please follow these instructions to get your own free license.

Jamie goes back to the original SAP HANA Cloud Platform page from the previous video and clicks on “Get Your Free Developer License Now!” again. This time Jamie clicks on the link in step number two https://tools.hana.ondemand.com.

Jamie suggests instilling a new HANA Studio for development to make sure that any potential file or prerequisite conflicts with eclipse are avoid. On the new page Jamie opens the “Download and Install SAP HANA Studio” link in a new tab. Next the user should select the HANA Studio tab on the new page and then press download after selecting the appropriate version of SAP HANA Studio for their environment.

Once SAP HANA Studio has downloaded the contents should be extracted to the same directory. After clicking on hdbsetup.exe and following the installation instructions SAP HANA Studio will be fully installed.

Users will also need to install the SAP HANA Cloud Platform tools in their SAP HANA Studio. So on the Cloud Tools tab of https://tools.hana.ondemand.com, a user should copy the https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/juno link. After starting the newly installed SAP HANA Studio a user should choose install new software under the help menu and paste in the Juno link into the work with: tab and click on add. A user should click next after selecting SAP HANA Cloud Platform Tools and follow the steps to complete the installation of the SAP HANA Cloud Platform tools.
