Hi,

In the BI 4.1 SP 3 Patch 2 there is a new feature, ie grouping.  Just a small example of the power of this new feature.

Select a dimension > "Analysis tab" > "Display" > Group

For example I wanted to add Quarter to my report what does not exist on datasource level, so I am grouping month.  Select Jan, Feb and Mar, click group and title it Q1, to the same for Q2, Q3 and Q4.  Grouping name is : Calendar Quarter.  When you click "ok", it will apear in the variables set.

Now lets create our report.  Create structure as below.  (Quarter and month and measure is the starting table -> hide quarter -> create break on quarter -> put quarter in the header break.

Structure:

Break:

Result: use outling to collaps or expand the result.
