There is a tool for testing all your Derivation steps entered in the system.

It is very usefull and handy:

1. It will show you what conditions were not fulfilled.

2. What data will be moved, cleared, copied.

3. Data is structured for your understanding: Conditions, Source fields, Target fields.

4. Results are colored so you'be abel to find it very quickly.

In the general screen of derevation transaction find "Test" button , or press F8.

A screen with empty fields will apear.

List of fields will vary from one derivation transaction to another.

You can enter data of all your possible transactions in the fields to test it against Derevation Strategy without creation of different transactions. It will save your time.

Enter data and press "Test" buttong, or F8.

Screen log will appear showing a Yellow line which was trigered according Derivation steps and data entered on previous screen.

Unfold Yellow line to see details of the step

Here you can see that step befor 0002 haven't triggered because some codition were not met - there is a red indicator "Not fulfilled" for one ot the coditioins.

But step 0002 triggered because all coditions were fully met.

Also you can see here a result - another Yellow line with derived account assignment reference.

As soon as you entered all you derivation steps - always test them, It will save your time and your work will be successful.
