Go to Configuration --> Software--> Download Platform Agents --> Select required OS executable file and download.



Move the downloaded file to OS level path and run the installation. which will run through as below

Specify Instance name as per your convenience and press Enter

Default port is 1555. If you change, specify port number(make sure it is open at firewall) and press Enter

- The default account for running jobs will be 'redwood'

* Please select the preferred way of running jobs as different users ('setuid')

Preferably maintain user modes as 3 or 4 and press Enter

- Registering Platform Agent 'hostname-default' at http://hostname:5nn00

- You can leave the value empty and press 'enter' to exit registration and continue the setup.

* Please specify the username of an account with administrative privileges ('no default')

Provide the User created at Redwood CPS system with admin roles and press Enter

* Do you want the platform agent to automatically start when the system boots? ('Y')

Y and press Enter

* Do you want the platform agent to be automatically updated by the server? ('Y')

#? [Y/n]

Y and press Enter

- To finish the installation you will need to run '/path/root.sh' under the root account

$

Finally run "root.sh" script with "root" user to complete the installation.

In case if process server of agent is not configured automatically at Redwood Side, then configure manually as below.

Goto --> Environment --> Process Servers --> Rightclick --> New Process server --> Select Linux or Unix

And Go to Parameters Tab



1.RemoteHostName - servername where agent was installed


2.RemotePort - port number used during agent installation


3.SharedSecret - Go to path where agent was installed and go to /net/instance/agentname/private and read file "secret"


4.DataRootDirectory -  create "output_joblog" under path where agent was installed and provide the same here.



Save&Close.


Start the process server and use for OS related jobs
