Objective: Create column line chart using chart ‘Combined column Line chart with two Y-Axis’.

Introduction: To make different types of information in a chart, we need to combine two or more chart types in a chart like combine a column chart with a line chart to make the chart easier to understand. In SAP WEBI, combined column Line chart with two Y-Axis’ is used to create columns and lines in a single chart. Many times business users want to display different types of data in single chart, For Example total Sales Vs Collection and their achievement.

Business Scenario: to understand and create column line chart we consider product wise Sales Target, Actual Sales and sales Ach% as raw data in excel sheet. Below is the data.

Product

Sales Target

Sales Actual

Sales Ach%

CTV

800

400

50.00

LED

1500

1200

80.00

REF

WM

                   83.33

AC

                   47.5

Now we have to create column line chart on above data, product wise Target and Actual Sales should be display in columns and Sales Ach% in line in a chart.

Step By Step Solution:

1) Open webi and create new document from excel, select excel file(contain above mentioned data)

2) Now we get query panel screen, refer below screen to design query and run query.

    3) Select ‘Insert chart’ and then more column charts.

4) Select ‘Combined column Line chart with two Y-Axis’ chart then OK.

5) Now we can drag and drop data object from available Object panel to chart directly or right click on chart and select ‘Assign Data’

6) In Assign Data screen, select product as ‘Category Axis’, Sales target and Sales Actual as Value Axis-1 and Sales Ach% as Value Axix-2 then OK

7) By default, it consider first value as column and further as line in chart, we can set columns and lines as per requirement by right click on chart and ‘format Chart’.

😎 Select Measure properties under Global, and select region type as Bars for Sales Target and Sales Actual and then region type as Lines for Sales Ach%. Refer below screen shot.

9) Now we get report in desired format. We can change other chart setting like chart color, Legend color, Category Color and their fonts and position as per requirement via Format chart option.
