When implementing SAP Business One, various tools, such as UI Configuration and DTW are used. Previously, each tool was launched and activated differently - some as add-ons and some as external processes, and they were not easily accessible. In some cases, users even didn’t know about their existence.


In order to simplify this aspect of the implementation process, and to ensure that consultants are aware of the variety of the available tools, SAP Business One provides you a single point of entry – a consolidated menu that lists all the tools. This is the “Implementation Tasks” window, which can be found under Administration > System Initialization > Implementation Center menu.

Here you can view all the available tools, and by clicking each item, the relevant tool is launched behind the scenes, in a way that is transparent to the user (for example if the tool is not yet installed, it’ll install it).

This window was first introduced in SAP Business One, version for SAP HANA 9.0 and SAP Business One 9.0 with four of the most important tools and starting from release 9.2, PL 03, many more tools are added to this window, as listed in the following table:

Data Handling

Import from excel

Add and update master data records by using Excel files

DTW

Import data from 3rd party systems via Microsoft Excel templates or open Database connectivity (ODBC)

Quick Copy

Copy data between two SAP Business One companies using a file

Transfer posting correction wizard

Post corrections resulting from VAT changes, for amounts transferred from revenue or expense accounts to new accounts

Open the Implementation Tasks window and initiate more simple and accurate implementation of SAP Business One.
