Answer: SAP Hybris Marketing on-premise runs on an SAP NetWeaver ABAP server with the SAP HANA database as the primary and single database.
3. Do I have to set up HTTPS?
Answer: You have to set up HTTPS, since SAP Hybris Marketing does not allow HTTP calls for security reasons.
4. Do I have to set up a Web Dispatcher?
Answer: You have to set up a Web Dispatcher, since SAP Hybris Marketing on-premise integrates SAP NetWeaver ABAP server, SAP HANA, and potentially other solutions such as SAP Cloud for Analytics.
5. Do I need to set up a BW client? Do I have to set up the BW client for all solutions? Can I use a BW client in another system?
Answer: You have to set up a BW client in your SAP Hybris Marketing on-premise system regardless of the SAP Hybris Marketing solution you have licensed. The application uses operational data provisioning (ODP) to directly access SAP HANA information models. For ODP, you only need to perform minimal configuration of the BW in your application system. You do not need to set up a Data Warehouse. Replication of the data to a BW system is not necessary.
