Inventing the Future of Business Intelligence
The Academic Research Center (ARC) supports research through its fellowship program, research internships, and involvement in research networks. ARC is based in Vancouver, Canada.
The call for fellowship proposals is currently closed, but we plan to accept proposals in the near future.
ARC offers fellowships to graduate students with thesis topics of interest to SAP in the area of Business Intelligence (BI). Fellowship funds are often leveraged by our academic partners to obtain matching funds (e.g., from NSERC/MITACS).
Both doctoral and masters students can participate in ARC Fellowships. Doctoral ARC Fellowship students are awarded $25,000 CAD per year (maximum of three years). Their faculty supervisors receive an additional $10,000 CAD annually for the duration of the student's fellowship. Masters students in the fellowship program are awarded $20,000 CAD per year (maximum of two years). Fellowships are renewed annually subject to the student's progress.
ARC Fellowship students are eligible for an annual four-month research residency in Vancouver. Students participating in a residency are paid a residency travel allowance and stipend for living expenses.
ARC offers 4- to 8-month research internships to innovative graduate students who are excited about pushing the state of the art in analytics by drawing on research in human-computer interaction, information visualization, data mining, machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and/or other areas.
Through ARC, SAP Canada is an active industrial partner in the following:
