Work Centers in SAP Solution Manager

SAP Solution Manager offers Work Centers, a new approach that bundles role-based content with task-specific authorizations and a state-of-the-art, Web-based user interface. Work Centers deliver all the functionality, components, and tools needed to manage your entire landscape throughout the IT life-cycle. Now, all the tasks administrators need to perform in their daily operations are at their fingertips, assembled in easy-to-use Work Centers for, in particular, System Landscape Management, System Administration and System Monitoring.

 

Latest enhancements were shipped with SAP Enhancement Package 1 (EhP1). Major EhP1 enhancements in the operations work centers are briefly outlined in this overview presentation. All the tasks and tools needed to manage the IT life-cycle are bundled in work centers. Their centralized usage and intuitive design saves effort and time, provides ease of use and boosts efficiency.

 

The Work Centers mainly relevant for IT operations are System Landscape Management, System Administration and System Monitoring.

Monitor your entire landscape - from one single point

This work center provides a technical monitoring overview and focuses on proactive, reactive and analytic monitoring.
Different types of reports are available for evaluating past performance trends and for proving that agreed service levels were met.
