Hi,
I have set up rule builder where one of the rule is account id. i have manually enter account ID in rule and activated . if i search that account id in territory search the node is showing in the result.
but if i search the Account by territory id in Account Search page. the result is 0.
what seems to be the link between Account assignment to territory node via rule builder and Territory ID search in Account Search page.
In Account Search there is one more option of Territory is EMPTY. What configurations need to see the result?
Does this mean that if Account is not assigned to any territory node, Territory is EMPTY should show that account?
Please help.
Thanks
Hi Amish,
Creating and activating the rules are only the definition of the rules. Once that is done, you have to run the
report to generate the rules. The link is the report.
In Territory search, when you search with an account, you get the result because the account is maintained
in the territory as a rule definition.
But in account search, if the report is not run, then it cannot find the territory to which it is attached as it doesn't
know this detail. Account search identifies this information from the link rule table which will be populated
only after running the report.
The report that you need to run is CRM_TERRMAN_PROC_REL and the link table is CRMD_TERR_LINK.

Hi Amish,
For you second query, when searched with territory EMPTY, it should list all the accounts which is not
associated to any territory on that day when the search is done (TODAY). It could have been attached to
a territory in the past or in the future period.

Hi Leon,
you mean to say that if Territory is Empty in Account Search page result will show
BP who are assigned to Active Rule builder and has valid period, ( assuming the report has been run)
I am confuse with Today and not in past or future. will that be determine by Territory ID validity period or Rule validity period?
thanks
Amish
Hi Amish,
If it is searched with Territory is Empty , then the result is determined by the rule validity period.
eg. an account is associated to a territory from tomorrow, then the rule is not valid today even though
you run the report. In that case, if you do the search today, the account will be listed as today it is not
associated to a territory. But if you run the same query tomorrow, it will not show up for the search Territory is Empty.

Leon,
One more question.
if i assigned Account Hierarchy Node to rule builder, will the Territory Empty in Account Search will show the resuls of Account which are assigne to the node of Account Hierarchy?
Thanks
Hi Amish,
If the Account Hierarchy Node is assigned to rule builder, say valid from today, then if you do a search with Terriotry is empty,
It will not list those accounts under the account hierarchy node.

Hi Leon,
my territory id is 1111 where in rule builder i have two rules: one customer assignment and one node assignment. and the rule is active.
I have ran the report in initial laod and delta load in background job. I can even see in the Link table the entry of Rule Active as "X".
if i search for Territory ID as 1111 in Account Search than the result shold be the customer and all customers who are assigned to the Node. isn't it?
Am i missing ant steps while running report? any veriant configuratoin that preventing the search result?
Please help.
Thanks
Amish
Hi Amish,
What is the search criteria that you give in this case?
Regards,
Leon
Hi Leon,
In Account Search i am selecting Territory ID and selecting 1111 as my territory.
This territory has 3 customers and rule builder status is active.
i have ran the report CRM_TERRMAN_PROC_REL in delta mode.
Thanks
Amish
Hi Amish,
Check the validity period of the rule in the territory.
The other reason that could override this rule is when you maintain the rule from the accounts page.
In accounts page under territories AB, you can maintain an override rule which will override the rule
maintained from the territory overview page.
You can do the troubleshooting by opening the 3 customers page and check the Territories AB.
Check if there is any entry maintained there for the corresponding territory.

Leon
Leon
Thanks for all your help.
I have assigned the Account in Territory maintanance screen. never assigned customer to Territory AB of Account.
territory AB in Account does show the territory id with validity period showing todays date is acrive (Rule date is 02/09/212 till 12/31/9999)
Override rules is not assigned to any territory ID in Account Page uner territory AB.

Amish
Hi Amish,
Then this account should be listed when you search with the corresponding territory id.
