I'm looking for a convinient solution for our Business. They would like to change Character data e.g. from Plan A to Plant B.
We are using BPS in NW2004s (no JAVA), but as Web Interface.
My Idea would be to mark the relevant line and copy it to a new row, but can that be done? Without the user copying each value.
Thanks for your comments
It is a Copy and change.
Original: Customer A, Material A, Production Plant A, Volume x
Copy: Customer A, Material A, Production Plant <b>B</b>, Volume x
Background is that our Line Loading needs to book Volumes to the right production Plant, but for several lines. Since the Planning Layout contains various Characteristics, they do not want to copy and past each character value into a new added line. Oviously you can not just change the value of a characteristic like Plant in the BPS, so I thought of copying the necessary Information into a new line with the possibility to enter the plant charcteristic. Kind of like a prefetch for a new line added.
you could either create a copy function with slection of the from-variable through line selection and the to-variable from a dropdown box.
In this case you copy the exact value.
or you could use a rebooking function if you want to delete the value for plant A.
or you create a formula, do the copy and maybe even a change of the key figure value all in one step.
