I am from SAP SD and absolutely new to CRM. Need help in Business partners contact person.
Suppose I make one BP with number XXXX and include a role contact person in it. How will it be replicated to ECC. Also if suppose I have 2-3 types of contact person , is it possible to map 2-3 contact persons in one single BP. Another question is that suppose a contact person has more than one email address, how can I maintiain them all.
If suppose I make a contact person BP XXXX and make another BP YYYY with category person and link it with BP YYYY with relation ship is a contact person for XXXX, how are approach 1 and 2 differnet and which one is better. Also in this case how will the replication be done in ECC.
Thanks in advance.
Through approach 1, you are simply creating a contact person in CRM. It'll not replicate to ECC, since it's not attached to any BP.
You can assign two three contact persons to a BP through relationship "is contact person of".
Through approach 2, your contact person will replicate to ECC along with the account ID, if proper PIDE settings are maintained for the account BP.
So you mean suppose a business partner number 1 has 3 contact persons so I should create in all 4 records with 1 for main organization and 2 ,3 and 4 as contact persons and later create relationship between those as 2,3,4 are contact person for 1 right. And also in this caes the replication to CRM will be as account 1 will be created with 2,3,4 as contact person in general data( if x-fer settings are maintained).
Please correct if I am wrong and thanks for your reply.
but do you have to do this programmatically?
I mean that in CRM you normally create a BP and then you can attach several contact persons to it (most of the times you'll create contact directly from BP and so you won't need to create relationships later; or you can create contacts indicating the relevant BP).
If customizing is ok you'll have everything downloaded to ECC (contact will be stored in the General data\contact tab of Xd02
