How to add Attribute Category in Mail Form - WEB UI CRM 7.0

Hi Friends,

I have a requirement where i want to give users a possibility to add several service ticket and Ibase related attributes in mail form ( email templates)

Generally, in web ui, when you use the link Create Mail Form , it opens a view with several template related details and text elements. You also get a button labeled as "Attribute" . When you click on this button, a pop-up opens . This popup has a list box for attribute categories. When you select an attribute category, then all the related attributes for that category are displyed in the table and you can select any of available attribute and click on INSERT button. Then attribute then gets inserted in Email Template.

For example, if you select Business Partner in the attribute category drop down, You get a list of attributes like partner number, address, personal details etc. If you insert any of it, then it becomes available in email template text element as a placeholder and is automatically populated for current business partner.

My problem is, i find in SPRO, there is a provision to add attributes to BDC ( Business Data Context ) , but i dont know how to make BDC attributes as a item in the category List box .

At present , there are only following categories in the list box :

1) Business Partner 2) Campaign 3) Marketing Attributes 4) System 5) Additional Fields.

I found that these come from domain CRMD_PML_ATTRIBUTE_CATEGORY

How to add one more category there say Service Ticket so that when user select this, he should be able to see the related attributes and should be able to insert them onto the email template ( mail form ) ?

Please advice me.

i referred this thread Link:[http://forums.sdn.sap.com/message.jspa?messageID=7692121]

It tells about adding attributes to BDC attribute category and that makes sense to me for my issue too, but how to get this BDC attributes as a attribute category in the Attribute category WEB UI ?

Thanks & Regards,

Suchita
