Hello,
I don't know if I'm understanding the point. In the menu tab of the composite role you should see transactions. If you want to show/hide the description of the transactions you have to click the magnifier glass.
If the text descriptions are blank it could be due to a language problem. For example, refer here: Note 1244533 - PFCG: Problems when selecting role short texts

Hi,
To get clear on your request , i guess you are checking out for the Single role's Description instead of their's name in the Composite Profile view.
As far as i know, we can check the Single Role's Description by double clicking on the Single role.(which opens a new window with pfcg screen of that particular Single role).

Here is the scenario what i had
Single role name - Role description
z:abcdXXXX - Finance global role
z:vxyzXXXX - Tax global role
Composite role
ZC:KLMNXXXX
When I add the 2 single roles in composite role and then if I reimport the Role menu, the composite role menu gets the 2 single role menus.
Here the composite role menu is generated like below
Role
--Role z:abcdXXXX
--Role z:vxyzXXXX
(Here the role menu shows the single role technical names)
But I want composite role menu should have the single role descriptions instead of technical names like below
Role
--Finance global role
--Tax global role
Please help me to correct this

Hi Sridhar,
Go to edit mode and you can see one button "Switch off Techncal name" , this will help you to disply Single role descriptiom

That won't help me as the button "Switch off technical names" is to turn of the t-codes technical names display in role menu. I am talking about, when we generate the composite role menu, in composite role menu you will get each folder for each single role menu and all these folder combination is composite role menu. So here each single role menu folder name shows single role name instead of single role description as I am looking for role descriptions should come instead of single role names in composite role menu. Hope i have explained without confusing please help me out here.

I got your point and you want Folders with single role description in Menu section of composite role.
I have tried it successfully and folders are showing role description now.
1st of all , Make tab as "Switch ON technical name" --> Read Menu
If singles roles are already existing "Merge" then verify.
Else i recommend to delete single role assigment and add it again and try above method. Its tested.
Pls check it at your end and respond.

This is ok in PFCG. You check the same composite role in user menu (log-in with the user have that role) and there you should see the role description.

{When re-import role menu} - have you tried not importing the menu at all? May be a little too late if you've been doing this for a while or taken over from another person.
Try creating a new composite in DEV and add a few singles and just save (no read of menu etc)

From my analysis, the above requirement can be achieved by the below steps;
1) Create a comp role and in roles tab add the single roles
2) And come to Menu tab: De activate the technical names (+/- Magnifier Symbol) and click on Read Menu
3) This will give you the Comp Menu as the result of Single Role "Description" Menus
