We are in Roll out project, there are 5 plants and one company code, total configuration and master data copied from 2nd plant to 5th plant, while testing the PP cycle during MRP run, BOM is not getting exploded, so that down items are not appearing in MD04 order tree, due to which Iam unable to get the purchase requisitions for the down items, down item is semi finished product with procurement type F-41(special procurement(sto) from 1st plant),
*I have checked the following configuration and master data:*
1) Planning file activated Plant - OMDU
2) Total Planning - MDBT (Variant is there for new plant)
3) BOM explosion for MRP activated- OS23
4) MRP type in MRP1 view- PD
5) Procurement type in MRP 2 view(F-41 for down item)
6) Planning strategy in MRP 3 view (Strategy 40 for header item)
7) BOM status and usage (satus is active and usage is for production)
8) BOM Validity date (Valid)
9) Routing Validity date (valid)
10) Routing Release status (status 4)
11) MRP group- OK
12) BOM srtructure in CS12 (BOM is exploding in CS11)
13) Valid Work center Dates - OK
14) Planned order Number ranges-OK
15) OPPQ settings
16) Availability check,
I couldn't able to fix the problem although the above parameters are checked,
Can any one help on this issue .
Thanks in advance !!
I have generated Plan through MD61, after that I have run the MD02 with processing key NETCH,
In MDO2 total exploded BOM structure is appearing, but I am not getting the same in MD04 as order tree so that I am unable to select the down items, I have tried with NEUPL as well but it is not allowing,
I am using previous plant Factory Calender in work center for new plant , is it the problem ??
If i understood your requirement correctly you are in MD04 for your FG and then click on Show overview tree.
And from there you are trying to click on Order report and you are not able to see the components for the FG.
If the above is correct, Normally the Std profile for order report (MD4C) is called out and this is there in the user settings also.
When the order report is called from the stock/requirements list or the MRP list, the system using the settings of the profile that is stored in the user settings. If there are no user settings or no profile has been stored, the system uses the settings of the standard profile SAP000000001.
Are you using any customised profile? Alternately check if you are still using the std profile the Number of hierrachial levels is 999 or blank? If it is changed to say one for instance you will not get the breakdown to the component level and can see only the FG.
Check the basic thing as pointed out by DB49- Is there a planned order generated out of MRP first of all for your FG?
If No, there is no point in proceeding further.
If Yes, check further as to whether there was NO stock available for your dependent components and that proposals were actually created by MRP for these dependent components also and follow the instructions given by Tara.
(If there is a planned order for your FG, From MD4C key in the FG Planned order under the Pl.order tab and for default profile SAP000000001 execute to see the results).
Update on the same.
Check your order header status, if it is CRTD and the setting for "Reservation/Pur. Req." is 2 in OPL8, then components are not relevant of planning, so they will not appear in MD04. If the setting is 1, even if you release then they're never planning relevant.

I will assume that the Planned order type is LA; please confirm.
When you display the Planned order (MD13) and you select the 'components' button, are any materials displayed?
And, when you review one of the component parts in MD04, do you see the dependent requirements from the parent?
Your issue is after MRP run BOM is exploding but its not appearing in MD04 through order tree report.
If that so, you might be not executing order tree report. Excute MD04 for fin material, there wil be plan stock, Dep req, plan order, now dont put curssor on stock tab, put it on PIR or Paln order , then click on show overview tree- order report.
The issue is Order tree is not exploding at 1st level of BOM in MD04, but it is exploding from 2nd level of BOM,
I have checked the BOM structure in CS12 every thing is looking fine, I am not understanding why at 1st level Order tree is not exploding,
Once we explode the Order tree for the header tree for initial materials exception is coming like '*Exception is coming for the lower level',*
Is this a normal exception or abnormal one !!
Order tree does not 'explode' anything! It is a display. Explosion data is created earlier, during the MRP run.
The reason I have been asking the questions that I have been is because I am trying to determine if the problem is with the data you are attempting to display in the order tree, or is the problem with the display itself.
I will be unable to troubleshoot your problems if you continue to ignore the questions I ask you.
Best regards & Good Luck,
