Hi,
The icon's which denote "Answered","Locked" etc are not appearing against the thread list in the content page.
Due to this it's hard to recognize the discussion's which were locked, answered etc.
Is this a problem or is there any facility available which I did not notice ?

Hello kesavadas,
Ethan Jewett has written a blog that may help you: http://scn.sap.com/community/getting-started/blog/2012/03/15/i-want-my-old-forums-back-actually-i-can-have-them-for-the-most-part.

Hi Audrey,
I am using it the same way as mentioned in the blog. What I mean to say is the icons which represents the status of the threads in the content page itself. As of now if you see we need to get into the thread content so see whether its was answered or locked. Now we can only see the "discussion" symbol in the content page for every thread. Hope you got my point.
Thanks for your time to answer this thread ![]()
Only thing, i am able to see is- If it has a tick mark (small tick in the circle before heading), then it is Answered or Assumed Answered. Else, if there is a question mark (?), then the thread is not answered.
But if you see, I am not able to differentiate the threads which has been created (since my last visit). In Old forums, there was a full red circle and half red circle.
Hope this is missing in new Discussion or is there any other way?
Vinoth
Hi kesavadas,
Did you read through the comments on the blog? There are several other suggestions in there (some are new comments as of this morning my time--PDT). Hopefully those are helpful.
Regards,
Audrey
Thanks. I got it.
But you see that the "lock" icon is missing in the initial page. If this was displayed in the screen with a "lock symbol", then it avoids unneccessary navigation to that particular thread
.
Similarly what happened to the sticky threads( And the Icon ) which always stays in the top row of the forums. Look at this thread which was editable only by our Mod's & now anybody can edit it.
You are absolutely correct. Thread state should somehow be reflected in the list and card views. I completely agree with you that you currently have no idea whether a question is answered without going into the thread itself.
At the beginning of this massive migration project, we identified this as a requirement for implementation, and we though originally that this sort of visual indicator would have been present. Remember our previous forum system was also based on Jive Software. But it seems that the folks at Jive decide differently, or perhaps the original Jive engineers disappeared... who knows. Bottom line. WE ARE WITH YOU. We would love to see the forum/discussions become rich and mature as they were in our previous platform. We are right now evaluating bugs and missing functionality in general, and building out a roadmap for 2012 and beyond. We will be certain to include this in our list of requirements.
Thanks for bringing this up.
