Hi,
We have made an entry through ABZU (TType 700) to one of the asset for the year 2011, as on 12.31.2011.
This entry is not showing under Posted values tab in Asset explorer, it is showing under "Planned values" tab
What could be the reason please?
Scenario - ABZU
Dep. area 01 = 0.01 0L Leading ledger
Dep. area 65 = 105.10 LO Local GAAP
Accounting document got posted. But when i go and check the Depreciation in FAGLBO3 for the Local GAAP, it is showing as 0.01 instead of 105.10.
Your early response will be appreciated
Thanks
Hi,
there are 2 points.
1. Is there absolutely nothing under "Planned values" tab? Or is there nothing unter "change"?
Please make a recalculation of values.
2. Could be that you have a wrong ledger scenario:
A typical dep.area setting for a parallel ledger:
T093
AFABER ABVOR1 AFABE1 ABVOR2 AFABE2 BUHBKT LDGRP_GL
01...............................00...........................00............1.............0L
02...............................00...........................00............3.............N1
03..................+...........01............ - ............02............6.............N1

Hi Bernhard,
It is my pleasure to have you at this movement.
The issue is, we want to sell out the assets as on 12.31.2011, which are kept as "Shut down' in asset master. But as we have not ticked the "Shut down"option to the Depreciation key, the depreciation got posted till FEB 2012.
We thought of writing-up the posted depreciation through ABZU and get the right book value and make a sale of entry.
When we tried posting ABZU, 1. Accounting document got generated but amount is showing as 0.01 in Local book also.
2. The value is showing under Planned values tab
Please find the attached screen shots for your reference.
Kindly suggest us an appropriate solution
Thank you

Any suggestions please?

Hello try and run APC value posting in periodic posting Asset accounting. It posts your non- leading ledger values.
PS: try in test run and see your ABZU postings will be there:) T code is ASKB i suppose
I have checked it dear in ASKB. But i do not see any document.
System says as below
There are no documents to process since the last
run.
Please advise if you have a solution
Thanks
Hello,
Dear all posting which happen to asset with external T codes like acquisition, ABZU, etc appear in that screen only.
Do not be confused/worried, I just saw you screen shot. the posting is posted and not planned.
It's actually asset transaction tab.
You can check other assets to you will see all acquisition etc posting in that page only.
Thanks.
Thanks for your support dear,
So you meant to say that it is already posted.
Sorry i am not that good in Assets write up, but wanted o clarify that how the system behavior is.
If you said is correct, when i ran the next month depreciation, system need to take the ABZU amount into the consideration (Net book value + Depreciation write up value = net book value for next month depreciation calculation) and calculate the depreciation.
Ex - ABZU passed in the month FEB 2012.
AFAB run is on MARCH 2012
So system has to take write up amount along with net book value for depreciation calculation? Isn't it? Please correct me if i am wrong.
Kindly advice
Thanks
Yes you are correct.
Just check what is the base value you have given for dep calculation = 024 = net book value.
for safe side.
To clarify more, check your ABZU3 screen shot, Net value = Net value previosu year - Dep current year + ABZU amt.
Once you posr ABZU system has already updated your asset net book value.
Dear,
What you said is correct. We have taken the base value as 01 - Acquisition value. not the net book value.
Is there any way to correct it other than changing the base value to 24 please?
Thanks for your help
What is the base method and you are using, also are you using any declining balance method?
If you are doing base method which is straight line (APC/ useful life) then you do not need to change base value as end effect will be same. Base is only useful in case of Multilevel or declining balance.
