My brief story as follows:
B.Eng (Elect) from Dalhousie University, Canada 1999 --- > Masters in Information and Communication Tech . Wollongong University, Sydney 2001 ----> Masters of Business in ERP, Victoria University ,Melbourne 2010. Presently working on SAP modules MM, PM, PP, BI as a technical resource in FFC, Pakistan.
B.com ---> visiting faculty for programming languges ---> free lancing in customized solutions ---> job as a programmer but deputed for gap analysis of SAP B1.
since two years I'm looking into operational issues , drawing MIS reports , functional issuees , exploring the features of modules and implement according to bsn requirements and looking after overall activities. No SAP Certification.
Digital Equipment Corporation, *sigh*, good times. I cut my teeth on VAXen. I still miss those days. I've been pleased with how many folks with 10+ years have responded to this thread. It just goes to show you the passion that still runs deep in the SAP community. Love it! -td
Mine -> During my school days as part time worker in internet cafe -> College days also the same part time work + Freelancer of logo designer + weekends joomla developer in one of leading sports media.
Post completion of Professional degree in Information Technology(B.Tech - IT) - Started to searching the jobs in Bangalore, India - 4 months gone but no jobs - Got a call from SAP Labs, Bangalore for an first round.--> i went but failed in the 2nd round - that day i decided my dream to enter SAP.
Took a first step to learn SAP - picked the module relevant to my technical background - SAP BI 7.0 - Got info from local trainers --> 3 months gone --> While taking training itself i got job --> Now my AGE 24 -> and having 1.6 years SAP SD L2 support experience in FMCG business process.
I welcome all sap beginners to come my Blog once a time.
i'm looking forward my dream. If not today, will happen on tomorrow.
My path is,......No IT backgorund .......Never think of SAP 18 years back when i joined first job....But was the great attraction to IT industries...
Bachelor degree in science------> Get in job manufacturing industry in Quality control dept-----> Spent 18 years chemical & petorchemical industies as QC incharge ------> Get oppoturnity as core team while implementation in domain-------> Left job & Join as SAP QM consultant in IT industries--------> From last 3 years SAP QM_PP Consultant...

My SAP career path is Bachelor in Math and Computer Science ----> Entry level as SAP BW developer through career fair at school -------> Worked in SD module (1 year and half) ---------> Worked in FI module (2 years) -------> Sr SAP BW developer (1 year)
My long term career goal is to become SAP BW architect and I know there is a lot to learn. I would really appreciate suggestions what I need to do to become a SAP BW architect.
