I noticed that the list of industries with spaces is incomplete. I would expect to see a space for Telecommunications and also one for Financial Services.
I dont know that this is a bug per se.

bill.
Hi Bill,
Check the Forum Finder to see if they are listed there (and that the links are correct if they are). There are several Forums that have not yet been migrated over.

Visit the Industries space: on the left are all available industries on SCN.
Telecommunications and Financial Services were not part of the old SCN so they are not yet on the New SCN either.
Jason:
I guess financial services could be lumped in with banking. But if you look at this screenshot - every other industry is represented except Telecommunications. We definitely have a lot of Telco content, customers, IBU and services. It seems incorrect that this one is missing.
as compared with the SCN list
Hi William...where is the first screenshot from?
Patrick:
that pic came from sap.com/industries. navigate to telco solution for content.

Part of my confusion stems from the change from industries listed in the old sdn forums - which was many fewer than are currently listed. So i see that SCN expands the list to include more industries - which is good - but for some reason leaves out telecommunications, and only telco.
Hi William,
To clarify, in the old SCN, wehad content from different industries represented in different asset types. So, for example, there was a Media forum, but there was no Media homepage or Media blog category. On the other hand, there was a Retail homepage and a Retail blog category, but there was no Retail forum.
Now, on the new SCN, every industry that used to be represented in at least one of the asset types (forum, blog category, homepage) has a space, and every space comes with a space overview page (equivalent of homepages), a discussion section (equivalent of forum), and a blog section (equivalent of blog category).
This explains why you now see more industries represented on the new SCN than you used to see in just the list of forums or in just the list of blog categories. And since Telecommunications, Engineering, Construction & Operations (EC&O), High Tech, and Finance did not have representation previously in any of those asset types, they do not now have a space.
Hope this helps explain the current situation.
Regards,
Audrey
