You are not created a company in customization. Check customization settings and create a company
Transaction code :- OX15 :- Path :- SPRO > Enterprise structure > Definition > Define company

Thanks for the quick reply.
I agree with your point but I read on the web that creating Company is optional however creating Company code is compulsory.
But according to you first creating Company is compulsory , could you please confirm me that that its compulsory to craete a Company before creating the Company code.

How do you assign company to company code without define the same in customization !!! Company is optional !! You don't assign company to company code ,if it is optional. You can create and assign ,if you want to use.

Geeta if you want to give company in company code parameters then only it is compulsory.
Company is not a mandatory input while making a company code or entering its parameter.
If you do not want to create company leave the field blank in company code parameters.
But if you want to input it there it must be created in system or how system will determine it.

Why are you assigning Company code to company. Its not mandatory.
I was talking about company code global parameters.
T code OBY6. Do not enter any company in there.
Please mark correct answer and close the issue if resolved.
