Last year i.e. 2011, SIT India was organized in two cities Bangalore and Kolkata on 3rd Dec. Many SAP Mentors and SCN members were involved with Dipankar leading at Kolkata and Somnath in Bangalore.You may visit the wiki for further details:

There's also a group on facebook for SIT India. You may join that group to pour out your ideas and also to remain aware of recent updates. However, these events gets announced in SCN.
