MDM 7.1 Connection Problem

Dear All,

I have Installed MDM 7.1 in AS JAVA server of my ECC6.0 IDES Server.Now when trying to Test the connection from my AS JAVA server,the link is as below:

http://J2EE_HOST:J2EE_PORT/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc~mdm~srmcat~uiutil/Utilities

I am getting the following error as:

Connection Test

Test the connection between J2EE and the MDM Server. The base test is to check if the relevant TCP/IP ports can be accessed:

While trying to Login through the Link:

I am unable to login through Admin user without any password.

I am providing the deployed components for MDM as:

Can anyone tell me what exactly the problem is?Is there any version compatibility Issue?

Hello,

This seems to be a version compatibility issue, before that please try with user Admin and pass: sapmdm.
Try to test the connection with the mentioned user id and password, and let us know your results

  with User-->>Admin & Password-->>sapmdm.
  
  It gave me result as Login Failed.While I have tried to test the connection for the URL:
  
  http://J2EE_HOST:J2EE_PORT/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc~mdm~srmcat~uiutil/Utilities
  
  It asks me for MDM Server Name or IP and Repository Port
  
  Connection Failed as I put the MDM server Name without any Repository Port.

    You will get the MDM Server Name from the MDM GUI Client Console, along with Repository Name and the Port Details.

      So I think I have to undeploy my SRM MDM Catalog from 7.01 SP6 to 3.0 SP8.

    As I have undeployed SRM-MDM Catalog 7.01 sp06 due to compatibility Issue.I am attaching the screenshot of the components deployed for MDM in my AS Java Server as:
    
    I want to know As I have Downloaded SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 from SMP.As it has so many Files.e.g:
    
    MDM_JAVA_API
    MDM_Import_UI
    Catalog_UI
    Business_Content_Repository
    MDM_Content_Configuration etc.
    
    I want to know should I have to undeploy the current components which are currently deployed in my AS Java server for MDM,which are as follows:
    
    MDM_CONNECTOR
    MDM_JAVA_API
    MDM_WEB_UI
    
    and Install the components which came with the SRM-MDM catalog 3.0 Installation Media?
    
    I am confused in it.Kindly help me out before I move ahead with the SRM-MDM Catalog Installation?

        Hi All,
        
        I got one more doubt when ever I want to Undeploy a Java Patch through the Command below:
        
        sdm undeploy "compname=tc/mdm/srmcat/action" "compvendor=sap.com" "undeploydb=no"
        
        I got the below Error as:
        
        ERROR: Another SDM is running already for this SDM_HOME directory. Exiting.
        Processing error. Return code: 4.
        
        As my SDM is running on port 51218.
        
        But my AS Java Server is running on port 51200.
        
        So is my SDM Server is running on correct Port or should I have to change the Port Number through the Command:
        
        sdm registerjstartup “sdmhome=<...>” “jstartupdir=<...>” “mshost=<...>” “msport=<...>”
        
        Kindly help me out for this.

        As I was able to undeploy the Patches for MDM which I wrongly deployed.Now As I have downloaded the SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0,and I have deployed the patches(.sca) files for SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0.I am attaching the Screenshots of the deployed Patches for SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0.I am not able to deploy the component for MDM-Connector.
        Kindly help me out for the problem which I am getting.which more components I have to Deploy with their SP levels.Kindly help me out.

        I am not using that command actually.I am using Undeploy command for SDM.
        
        I want to know how to undeploy Java Patches for AS JAVA from Database level as we can do it in AS ABAP.
