The process has failed to execute one or several of its active steps.

Hello,

While executing the process in the Quality and trasported to Production.We came across the this strange secnario.

a) The process is showing as In_Progress.

b) All prior tasks in the process flow show as completed in manage tasks(nwa)

c) The process flow shows it is active at that partcular stage (marked in green)

d) But the process flow page is showing a warning that " The process has failed to execute one or several of its active steps. Please contact the business administrator".

e) It is a human activity. notification in uwl or email was also not triggered.

Unable to find the potential owner for the tasks as it is not appearing in manage task.

Seeking for guidance on how to debug this issue and resume the process.

no potential owner has nothing to do with the task not being shown in "manage task".
select the process and go to history tab, in the dropdown select advanced, you should find something.
check the default trace also.

  I had checked in the history tab. It shows email notification sent, task claimed and task completed for the previous task. There is no information pertaining to the present task.

      Hello,
      
      I have checked the Advanced Trace also,I am afraid i don't see any entry for this task.
      Can you help me how to Initiate and Nominate to any other user as the task is not showing up in Manage tasks.And also is there any other method to debug.

HI,

I am also facing some issue too.

There is nothing useful found in History tab in advance mode.
No error log I can See.

  I resolve the issue.
  Problem was for Web Services consume in process provided system not configure properly.
  
  Try Following step:
  
  1) login to http://<host>:<port>/nwa
  2) Go SOA>>Application Communication
  3) Search for desire DC
  4)Under Consume Services Tab make sure that provided System is configure.
