Dear Experts,
When i entered equipment in iw31, i am getting following message
Object change ==> Order data might not be the same as
default values
Message no. IW501
Diagnosis
You changed the reference object of the maintenance order.
However, certain data in the maintenance order refers to the original reference
object.
The following data in particular is affected:
Settlement rule
Main work center
Assignment data of order header (for example, WBS element,
business area)
Partner data
The delivery address for external resources derived from thereference object
System Response
The system does not change this default data automatically.
Procedure
Check whether the data of the maintenance order also applies
to the new reference object and if necessary, change it.
pls suggest some measures
Raghu
Hi ,
Are you changing the reference object i.e equipment in maintenance order ? If yes then the origin of the message is this change of ref object. Once and order is created with ref to some equipment , a number of fields get copied to order by default like settlement rule , main. wrk ctr etc .
You have to change these fields manually in order bcz 2nd tym they will nt get copied automatically .

Hi,
Actually, in iw31 iniital screen i enter equipment , automatically equipment and Fl are taking.
when i enter iw31 after initial screen i.e equipment it is throwing error and unable to do other functions.
Hi Raghu ,
Not able to understand your question . Can you please elaborate .
regards
first when i enter iw31
with equipment ( automatically FL)- no error
If i didnt enter any thing in iniatial screen in iw31, just enter only plant and business area
and then detail screen , if i am entering equipment , then the above error is coming
Hi,
It is normal to get this message after the technical object is changed, this includes when some default values have been set and then an equipment is entered (this appears to be your situation with IW31). The message informs the user that some field values may not match those from the new technical object - they were set earlier by user input or from another technical object.
The message normally appears as a result message so does not require any action from the user it does not prevent the user from continuing. If you get some different behaviour then check how this message IW501 is customized. Chec IMG settings at >Plant Maintenance and Customer Service >Maintenance and Service Processing >Maintenance and Service Orders >Message Control.
Usually a setting type S (result) is defined. I (information) could also be used. E (error) should not be used.

Do you have any Default Value settings that pre-fills the equipment/floc?
Are you using any user-exits/BADIs to pre-fill the fields on order creation?
PeteA
Hi Pete,
Checked - No default settings
No user exits.
I the first image if ididnt enter the equipment
In the second image
if i enter the equipment here then problem is coming
pls adivise me. this is a burning problem.

Hi this message we usually get when the partner function is disturbed.i.e when in partner fucntion the sold to party is changed .it is just a message,if it an error message then you need to either set back the previous partner function .(note-in my case it was partner function not sure in your case)
Dear All,
As per Paul advise, I have sorted out the issue.
Lack of perfect authorisations, one of the consultant changed some data about settlement etc.
may be this is the issue.
This was told by the same guy.
at present this is the only solution i got.
Once again thanks to all for providing the support.
issue resolved.
