Hello colleagues,
I've tried to branch a message from a discussion into a new one, using the branch option.
However, after clicking on "Branch to a New Discussion" button in the popup will just make the button unclickable and no action is done (i.e. the branching never happens). Doing it over and over again has the same results.
Could you please take a look into it?
For instance, try to branch the last message in the following discussion:
http://scn.sap.com/thread/1348812
Thank you and best regards,
Henrique.
COMM-312Hi Henrique,
thanks for pointing us to this issue. I was able to reproduce it and you'll see an HTTP 500 error in Firebug's network trace when clicking the "Branch to new Discussion" button. Looks like we have an issue in the backend there.
I've created a ticket for this (COMM-312) and added it to the SCN Known Issues List
Best,
Oliver
Hi:
I dont see an update to this. Any idea when/if this will be fixed?
regards,
bill.
Interesting that the branch function looked like it worked for me when I tried it yesterday. However, the 'success' that i got is only that the post was taken off the original thread. the branched post disappeared - it did not appear as a new thread in the space. I have no idea where it went to. When i looked at the content for the user who created that post, it does not appear in their list at all.
LOL! Like Dante in Devil May Cry, it went to the Limbo... ;-)
It's likely that the branched discussion went back into moderation: the new thread inherits the author of the message that was branched and things go from there.
