Dear Consultant,

Day Types: Most of the Public Sector and Private Sector Companies have 2^nd and 4^th Saturdays of the corresponding month as Off’s’.

Please notify the 2^nd and 4^th Saturdays for each month in that financial/Calendar year  in Excel Sheet as follows. Define them as Special Day “3”with as “Time Off/Paid”.

Define the Selection Rule as follows.

First Column : In the above selection rule In the Day Type for Week Days (First Column) it has been configured as, blank in the First Place, which means Day Type 0-Work and Paid, & Holiday Class 0-Not a Public Holiday. This is to set it as working day as if for the normal rules. Second Place Day Type 1-Off and Paid& Holiday Class 1-Public Holiday.

Second Column- Day Type for Saturday: It has been configured as, Blank in the First Place, which means Day Type 0-Work and Paid, & Holiday Class 0-Not a Public Holiday. This is set it as working day as if for the normal rules. Second Place Day Type 1-Off and Paid& Holiday Class 1-Public Holiday. Even it works with -, 1, 1, 1,-,-,-,-,-,-,-,-, - also.

Third Column-Day Type For Sunday: It has been configured as, Blank in the First Place, which means Day Type 1-Off and Paid&  Holiday Class 1-Public Holiday. Which concludes all the Sundays are paid-Offs.

However in T553s table the Saturdays with Day Type '3' Time Off/Paid. In "PT01" it is picking up the same.

When we generate the work schedules through PT01 we get the 2^nd and 4^th Saturdays as off

Daily Work Schedule Variant are useful when, your work schedules generation doesn’t take the actual DWS instead it pick the variant we crated.

Example: We have generated DWS, with the duration from 9:00am to 18:00pm.However on the before day of 1-01-2014 i.e on 31^st December2013 as 09:00 t0 14:00pm, you want declare as half day. For that we need to define the Variant “Z”. We give that variant field. Copy the DWS rule.

On the day of 31^st Dec it uses the Variant instead of the DWS we created.

The rules take the following parameters:

1. public holiday class of the current day
2. public holiday class of the next day
3. weekday
4. Variant Name

The above rule discloses that for every holiday class type 1 which is (01-01-2014), the before day 31^st (Tuesday-02 place of the week day)it picks the variant Z instead of the regular DWS.

Note: Similarly if you want the next of 1-1-2014 ie.2^nd (Thursday) we can use the DWS Varaint
