If you are developing apps, then its better to use MI 7.1. MI 7.3 has some improved features compared to 7.1, but from what we see, all apps are being developed on 7.1

may I know what kind of apps are developed on MI 7.1? WDJ for Mobile wasn't really a great success, and with Sybase Unwired Platform, to me it looks like everybody is developing apps for SUP.
The component which you'll use from MI 7.x is DOE, as SUP uses DOE for syncing.

You are right, the apps are being developed on Netweaver mobile DOE 7.1 in collaboration with SUP.
I am referring to the apps such as CRM mobile sales, EAM field service.
