I am new to posting on the forum, got a lot of solutions from here so long time lurker We have a request at our office about the display on the tab of your web browser using bex web designer and portal. It currently says BEx Web and then the company name next to it but the request is to remove the BEx Web display from it. We think it has something to do with the iview but we are out of ideas. I attached a image so you can see. Any ideas?

have you tried to locate the said iview and change the name? It's definitly the "Name"-setting of the iview that is displayed in the tab.

We have tried to find it to no avail. I guess we just need to search some more 
You can also start at a role that contains this iview and go from there via the Delta Link Tracer. 
Are you searching via the Portal Content Studio?
We are actually not using Portal Content Studio. We can use Netweaver Development Studio

Which NW version are you using? Are you on 7.3? Or lower?
Do you have access to the user administration as well, so you can search for the role that is displaying this iview?
If you know a user or group, that this role is assigned to, you can see the name of the role there and find the path in the Portal Content Studio, too.
If you look at the details of the role, you find the "General information"-tab and on it the location of the role in the Content Studio. So you know where to look for the role.
And if you found the role in the PCS, you can easily find the iview in there and therefor change the name of it.

Thanks for the reply. I understand what you trying to explain but how do i know what role its assigned to?. Sorry, you have to bare with me, i don't know anything about the PCS or portal or iviews.
That's okay. Everyone started that way.
If you don't know which role to look for, it could be a bit problematic. But we have still some other options.
Did you find the search function in the PCS? And it would be easier for me, if I knew which version you're using. ^^ 7.3 looks a bit different than the older ones.

I think i found the role you were talking about.Now just to find the iview we are looking for. We are using 7.01
Ok i found the iview but, if i change it and i do a refresh in my browser, you can see it references that change but then it goes back to the original. Its as if its querying the iview but then also quarries another one.
So you changed the name of the iview, you can see the change in your tab and then the tab changes back to the old name?
If you look at the properties of the iview, is there a merge-id value?

So now the iview has a new name, but in the tab it still shows the old one. That’s strange.
I spoke to our BW-guys. Do you have access to the report, that is displayed? Can you change the name of that? There seems to be a setting in BEx to overrule the iview-properties by the report-settings. Maybe that is the case here.
Thanks for all the help. That issue is not really in the report, its on the main portal screen. So we get the issue if we are in the reporting menu or in the reports itself. If i look at the page source i get

Do you think it could have something to do with the portal itegration launcher?
