The answer should be no as the RFC specification for AS1 is 3335 and the RFC specification for AS2 adapter available from SAP is 4130. Even if you try to make it work, SAP will not provide support for such use.

I can confirm that AS1 is not supported by the AS2 adapter that is part of the Process Orchestration B2B Addon product release 1.0.
