data collection and panel location

Hi All,

I am looking for a way to collect data that relates to a certain location on a panel.

However in "data collection maintenance" I don't see an option to specify that "location" needs to be logged with a certain parameter.

Do you have any suggestions how to set up data collection to include localization?

After serialization of the panel the data collected for a certain localization on the panel shall be copied to the serialized SFC of that location.

Many thanks in advance

Ulrike

    Hi Ulrike,

As far as I understand you are going to collect data using DC500 activity. As a workaround you may name DC parameters correspondingly to locations.

There is an option to collect data against locations on Assembly Data Collection.

    Regards,

    Alex.

      Hi Alex,

      thanks for your answer.

      Yes I was using DC500.

However I think this workaround will not do as the requirment is to collect several sets of measurement data for a certain location on an SFC. On serialization this data shall only be copied to the SFC that has been created from that location on serialization.

I just tried to use the workaround described by you but this results in copying the data to all serialized SFCs of that panel.

The behaviour I was expecting can be compared to the one for NC Codes: If an NC Code is logged against a panel SFC with NC data type LOCATION on serialization this NC Code is only copied to the SFC that relates to that very LOCATION.

Do you know if there is a way to handle this scenario in ME 5.2 standard?

      Thanks

      Ulrike
