    ESS and MSS PORTAL

    Dear Experts, Can anyone please explain the step by step procedure of configuring ESS and MSS. Also with Portal? I have been given the task to do this. I am very new this.

      Hello Vincent,

       

      If you are talking abt configuring ESS And MSS roles in the portal , then usually its the portal administrator who does it .

      But if you know which Business package should be deployed and if you have the administrator rights then you can configure it

      but it invloves lot of steps involving assigning Jco's to the R/3 system that you need to access and importing the business packages etc.....

        Thanks for the update. This look like a way forward. You have given me a very great clue. Since I am very new to ESS and MSS. Could you please give some step-by-step procedures that will keep me started. What is the first step and how? etc. I am allocated the task at my work place. I have the admin right as well. It is all about ESS and MSS Link to the Portal. Thanks very much in advance.

        Dear Sikender,

         

        Even I am new to ESS MSS..

        Actually I am total freher in SAP itself. But have a fair idea about ESS and MSS.

         

        I have tried configuring WHo Is who for org structure search and Record working time, approvals and compensation.

        Just trying to configure and this only for my practice since i want to start my SAP career with ESS and MSS. I havealso read  few docs as well.

        Could you please guide me in back end configuration(mean in R/3) later i will look into portal configuration.

        I am really geting confused if i am going in right direction.
