Hi Experts,

I am a complete greenhorn in business processes.

I like to know which module in R/3 is for the Marketing department, if any?

I know there is SD, MM, PP, PM, FI, CO etc modules.

But is there such a module that is meant for or used by Marketing departments?

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

The complete OTC (Order-To-Cash) process can be managed in R/3 ( Integration of SD and FI ).

As marketting division representative your major concerns would be,

1.To look out for  prospective customers

    2. To analyse customer's reliability

    3. To assist in company's concern in maintaining a successful relations on behalf of the company

    4. Sales related functions

Most of these activities can be achieved through SALES & DESTRIBUTION (SD) module, however depending on the volume of customers & geographical as well as technical concerns it may be required that some sort of interfaces (web interfaces) are used for better mapping your departments functionalities.Even then they all will be concerned to SD only.
