    Hi Guna,

Open the Microsoft SQL Server Studio> Start>Programes>Microsoft SQL Server Stuido> Connect to the SAP Server Instance for which you want to take the Backup of the Database, then ->Server Object>Backup Devices--Rgiht Click on the Backup Devices -->give the location of the disk.

You can find this in your DB13 tcode.

My backup device is disk only but it is network drive

You can schedule your backup through DB13 and the backup file will happen in your network drive. Its possible follow the below procedure.

        1) Are you able to share that particular drive? You should able to share.

        2) Check whether that shared path you are able to access from your server

        3) Configure a network drive in your server to ensure that there is no connectivity issues between your server and that path.

        4) you need to configure that path in your management studio (Since your SQL should know the location of the disk.No issue Whether its local disk or network path)

        5) Follow the below procedure to configure the location of disk in your SQL

        6) After configuring, you can able to observe the same in DB13 along with R3DUMP0.

        7) Try to schedule a log backup for test purpose.

        Procedure

Open the Microsoft SQL Server Studio> Start>Programs>Microsoft SQL Server Studio> Connect to the SAP Server Instance for which you want to take the Backup of the Database, then ->Server Object>Backup Devices--Right Click on the Backup Devices -->give the location of the diskhere you need to give your network path

I hope this will help you.

        Thanks & Regards,

        Nagendra.
