Hi in SRM 70 a new workflow technology is introduced and by defualt this new workflow is to be active,
please chekc what kind of workflow you are using.
you may choose to use the old(SRM 50 like) workflow too and this should then bring back to old fucntionality and not cause any effect.

we have activated the BCSET for automatic approval for RFx, Shopping Cart etc. Also checked that it is process controlled workflow settings are activated in the system. Anything else I need to check?

were all the steps followed for process controled workflow?
please chekc again based on the documentatin for each step in the IMG.
also if you going to use only zero step automatic approval , why are u going for process controlled workflow, you could simply
retain your old workflow settings by chooing application controlled workflow instead of process controlled workflow.
The process contolled workflow is more useful when you have complex approval rules.

I have changed the workflow to application controlled workflow and follow all te steps mentioned in IMG. as there is no approval scenario required in our case. Still it is not successfull, what to do next. It was working earlier. any idea?

Was it working before and stopped now? What do you see in Approval preview? Did you get any dump on system ID example WF-BATCH ? Please check if you have any syntax error in any of your expression.

MAKE SURE the automatic approval evaluation id is 0EV000 in process level configuration.
