SAP Mobile Applications with SUP (Sybase Unfied Framework) - For Workflows

SUP is Sybase unwired platform and it has it own server and configuration.

I have a basic doubt in this configuration that do we need a SAP NW MI 7.1 server to configure Sybase workflow?

No you do not need SAP NW MI7.1 for SUP workflow.

As SUP itself is having a DOE , just I wold like to get some insight.

Do we need a Sybase developers for the solution or SAP ABAPers can do this stuff?

You need both SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 and SUP for Sybase Mobile Workflow for SAP Business Suite. This product is provided by Sybase/SAP.

However if you want to develop your own mobile application to approve workflows you don't have to use both of them. You can either use NW Mobile or SUP or develop your own solution.

There are many options available with SAP/Sybase.

Best one is to use the Co-Innovation platform with SAP(NW Mobile 7.1) & Sybase 1.5.2 as here you have the option to use both the functionalities for SAP platform & Sybase i.e. DOE, SUP & different clients like Iphone, Windows mobile etc.

Alternatively you can use Netweaver Mobile 7.1 for Windows Mobile & Windows Clients which consists of DOE

& Metweaver Mobile Handheld/Laptop client 7.1
