Today I would like to share with you the availability of a new document explaining the best practices for consuming content between SAP NetWeaver Portals. The new document can be found in the following link.
For all the details, please review the documentitself and I would also recommend to have a look at SAP note 1551944.
With this blog, I would like all of us to understand the rule of thumb for content sharing between SAP NetWeaver Portals as explained in slide 6 of the document.
Scenario 1
When consuming a specific iview (or iViews) from one portal to the other, Application Integrator is the general recommended solution both from a functional point-of-view and TCO considerations.
Scenario 2
When the requirement is to consume a full role structure between one portal to the other, Remote Role Asignment is the general recommended solution.
