Back in May 2003 I left Siebel Systems in California to move back to Canada and take a role as a technical program manager with Crystal Decisions.
In the past 8 years I've been lucky enough to be lead product manager on Crystal Reports XI and 2008, and contributed to the Crystal Reports 2011 release as well.
Over that time, my role has expanded beyond Crystal Reports to cover all products sold through the 2-tier distribution and eStore channel. It's been a great time, and I've learned a ton about product management, marketing, pricing, sales, and development. It's a fun little corner of this big organization, and I've enjoyed it immensely because its not so big you can't wrap your head around it, and I've worked with many smart and inspring people.
But 8 years is still 8 years. At the end of this quarter I'll be switching to a different role in the company as solution manager in the Large Enterprise Business Intelligence group. During this quarter I'll be ramping down in my current role and ramping up in the new one. I'll still be blogging and visible on SDN in both roles, as that's what I enjoy doing.
This means that we have an opening for a solution manager!
