Last week thousands of people filtered through San Francisco's Moscone Center to attend JavaOne 2007. SAP's strong presence in the Java world was reflected in its gold sponsorship of the event, SAP instructor-led technical sessions, and interactive demos and presentations at its exhibitor booth.  Among the giveaways at the SAP booth, and central to many of the discussions and demos, was the trial version of SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment, SAP's next generation Java technology for building and running composite applications.   The software package includes the latest Java application server, based on Java Platform, Enterprise Edition (Java EE), SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (with Java EE support), and MaxDB 7.6 database. Also tucked away in there is SAP Memory Analyzer, a handy tool for analyzing the memory consumption of Java programs that I heard several developers asking about. You can download the latest SAP NetWeaver 7.1 Composition Environment Trial Version and access documentation on the SAP NetWeaver CE homepage on SDN. And don't forget to see what's new on the Business Intelligence Performance Tuning homepage.  Meanwhile, we're all done with JavaOne, halfway through the month of May, and near the end of this short blog - and I still haven't told you that Java is "Topic of the Month" on SDN. Throughout May, every Java-related article, blog, and wiki entry will earn you twice as many points as usual. For more information about how to submit content, and what "usual" means, refer to the How to Contribute page atop SDN and the Contributor Recognition Program FAQs.  Start submitting!  I leave you with just a quick glance of SAP JavaOne...
