This blog is long overdue and I mean lo..oong! The last six months have been extremely busy ...and only now have I had a chance to take a breath and write this blog.
I am very honored to be mentioned in Heike van Geel's BIF blog and Blogging it Forward to me. Thanks to Heike, I get to pick which questions I want to answer.
About myself: I am originally from Bangalore, India and living in the USA with my husband for 11 years now. I have been with SAP since 2008. I work in the Service Innovation team, part of Global Service Portfolio Management in SAP Services- the most fun team some say...and I couldn't agree more!
I coach and facilitate Design Thinking workshops and trainings for internal teams and SAP customers. Some of you may know me from the SAP Discovery System Program. I am based out of Palo Alto in sunny California.

If you were 20 again, what would you study?
Would want to learn how to elevate vegetarian food to gourmet levels (without the hefty price tags) and wine pairings with vegetarian food.
How do you think the way you were raised affected your Career?
My parents sent to me to a great school and college, educated me well and raised me to be independent and stand on my own feet. That gave me the drive and confidence to pursue a career in the IT industry and the courage to move to this country and find a job that I love.
Describe in one short sentence: "what need does your SAP solution meet"
SAP Discovery system helps customers to test drive and kick the tires of the latest software offerings from SAP.
Design Thinking workshops helps customers uncover needs and articulate goals which helps SAP build better solutions for them. It also builds collaboration between different teams within the customer's company.
What do you think are the key elements for a successful project?
If my "customer" likes what is delivered, obtains value from it, uses it in their work and it provides financial gain for SAP, then I would consider it a successful project.
Which 3 things do you absolutely want to achieve in life?
- Learn to be present and in the moment
- Find my true passion before it's too late
- Travel and see the world
