SAP Note 1870102-> Many customers have asked for an improvement to the integration of SAP GUI business transactions with the WebClient UI. This was mainly because the current performance of the transaction launcher calls was not sufficient especially for the customer service processes in the B2C environment. Therefore, we decided to deliver the SAP GUI integration as standard functionality.

Improvement

The standard technique to integrate SAP GUI business transactions with the WebClient UI using the transaction launcher. The transaction launcher starts SAP GUI for HTML transactions from the Internet Transaction Server (ITS). SAP GUI for HTML is based completely on Web technologies and some functionality is different to or not available in comparison to SAP GUI for Windows (see SAP Note 314568 SAP GUI for HTML functionality / limitations / special behavior). This improvement was developed as an integrated scenario to integrate SAP GUI for Windows with the WebClient.

Customer Benefit

The new integration of SAP GUI business transaction with the WebClient UI helps customers to avoid implementing the suggestions from a consulting guide (available in the SAP Community Network) into their system environment.

Delivery

It is planned to deliver this functionality with SP09 of WEBCUIF release 731 and SP02 of WEBCUIF release 747, which was released to customers in October
2013. SAP Note 1890755 describes the new feature and the implementation procedure in detail, along with prerequisites and procedures.
